D&AD competition brief. The idea was to re-brand sanitary products and create new, fun, positive and modern packaging. The categories required were sanitary towels, tampons and tampons with applicator.
The main aim is to be open and truthful about period and not hide it behind illustrations and enclosed packaging. Therefore I show the product in full and the whole packaging reflects this. The attitude "it's natural so just get on with it" is screaming out from the packaging. I try to make the whole issue fun, modern, positive and mainly different so women have confidence and see the period from a different perspective. Therefore I used a female figure in funky positions and typography to go with it rather than flowers and abstract shapes. The project was chosen by my tutors to enter the D&AD competition.
