this was done as a propaganda call to action poster for my Advanced Graphics class. i got to use a Wacom tablet for the first time on this, but i only used it on Lady Liberty. i really want to get my own one now. the colors were slightly unbalanced at the end, so i stuck a dark red layer over it and set to overlay. for the texture i put a rusted metal texture under the red and i think that was set to overlay as well. i erased some of the texture from Liberty to make her details stand out more. im not sure if "capital punishment" or "hanging liberty" is a better title. i suppose the message is clear but maybe not. it is representing how the US Government has killed liberty, and suggest that our rights, and libertys have been taken away with our freedom being next. hopefully you can make out that the building is the US Capital building, its not perfectly identical though since i had to have text and a "call to action" to complete the project the best i could come up with was the text ("war torn" from dafont.com) and the NI4D logo. im not quite sure this is something that Mike Gravel and the real heros of Washington would want to promote, but its the best idea i had. if you dont know about the bill trying to be passed as the 28th Ammendment, check out NI4D.com.
