The programme is A5 landscape in size, 24 pages and saddle stitched. The design brief detailed that the design needed to include cutout images from around The Barbican area alongside images of the acts that were to appear.

The identity for the festival had already been established so bearing this in mind the blue and red colour palette was used to reinforce the branding. The coloured lines were utilised to suggest movement like that associated with jazz and blues music. A musical instrument (tuba) was pictured on the cover to blast the images and lines across the page, this theme was used throughout the programme.
