Privacy policy
Please read our Privacy Policy, as it is part of these Terms and Conditions. You can browse the Quark Web site without disclosing any “personal information.” By personal information, we mean that information that is specific to you and by which you are easily identified, such as your name, mailing address and e-mail address. Quark does not automatically log the personal information of the visitors to its Web site or link information that may be automatically logged by other means with the personal information of specific individuals. We only collect the personal information that you provide to us voluntarily. Our Privacy Policy explains how the Quark affiliated companies use the information you provide to us when you join our mailing list, open an account on the QuarkStore, submit an online request for product information, register a product online, or download demo software or certain updates. You acknowledge and agree that we may use and store information about you and your orders in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We respect the privacy of our customers and therefore have adopted the following set of information management guidelines. We will only use the information you provide to us in order to fulfill your product orders, including verifying your eligibility for updates and upgrades, inform you of special promotional offers, and deliver information to you that meets your needs, such as product news, updates, and new release information or that allows you special access privileges.
We collect your:
     Name
     Mailing or billing address
     E-mail address
     User information, such as product interests and preferences
     Phone number
     Credit card number and expiration date (if you open an account on the QuarkStore)
We use this information to:
     Measure interests in various products
     Send e-mail messages or conventional mail to you about our products and services, or third-party products or services, which may be of interest to you
     Process and fulfill product orders you place with the QuarkStore. In the event we need to contact you regarding your order, we will do so by phone or e-mail.
We do not:
     Provide personal information, such as your name or address associated with your e-mail address to third parties
In order to protect the personal information you provide to us, we use Verisign’s 128-bit SSL encryption to securely and automatically accept, process and manage online payments as well as to collect and store the Personal Information you provide to us. When you place an order or access account information you will be transferred to a secure server where this information is stored and managed. All of the personal information you provide is actually encrypted before it is sent to us. While we use SSL encryption technology to protect your personal information online, access to such personal information is highly restricted in Quark’s offices as well. Only those Quark employees who fulfill your orders or requests for information are granted access to your personal information and those employees are obligated to respect the confidentiality of that information.
Children
We will never knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without first obtaining verifiable parental consent. If it comes to our attention that a customer under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us, we will remove all such information from our files. However, we may still maintain a record of that person’s name and address in a “do not register” file in order to avoid a subsequent registration.
To unsubscribe from Quark’s mailing list
Upon request, Quark will remove your name from our mailing list records. Any such request should be sent by e-mail to cservice@quark.com. Please note that such requests may take three to four weeks to process.
To inspect, change or modify your personal information
Upon request, Quark will provide you with a readable copy of your personal information, although we may require proof of your identity before doing so. Quark will also modify the information that you have provided to us. Any such request should be sent by e-mail to cservice@quark.com.
