Increased productivity thanks to Job Jackets
Fabrègue created a Job Jackets file for its clients to provide them with a reliable and secure working environment
“QuarkXPress 7 is a highly valued upgradeable application.”
Printer Fabrègue Imprimeur works for local and national clients in several fields, including luxury goods, local authorities, and the automotive industry.
It adopted QuarkXPress® early on and has kept pace with every upgrade “so that we can provide a better response to client requirements,” said Jérôme Guillement, head of technological monitoring at Fabrègue Imprimeur. “For us one of the most appealing aspects of QuarkXPress 7 was the Job Jackets® feature, which has greatly improved our clients’ productivity. These XML files provide assistance in document creation, quality control and output.”
Fabrègue Imprimeur has totally integrated this feature into its systems and provided clients with their own Job Jackets to manage production flows. “It contains a set of rules to manage a number of elements: Fonts, images, image saving formats, colour management, the horizontal/vertical scale applied to images, and transparency of image boxes.”
So clients can see an immediate return on investment since there’s no longer any need for material to make multiple trips to and from the printers. And it’s also time saved for Fabrègue —not billed to the client — on production. At the same time, it provides a secure working environment.
Overall Fabrègue Imprimeur particularly likes “the responsiveness of the French team and the rapid updates,” added Jérôme Guillement. “They add specific, useful day-to-day features, or fix problems we’ve run into with the previous version. All of which adds up to a highly valued upgradeable application.”
