We (C2designers) designed the promotional materials for a friend of ours who was having her last night at her studio before moving to another one. Instead of throwing an art show for the new studio I came up with the idea of throwing it for the space she was leaving. This helped add pressure to the project that made it a do or die kind of thing. The date was not changing, she was definitely leaving and this made it real and put us on a path of creativity not often found when doing projects for friends, at least that's the case for me. We marketed her work and a local artist of Ventura. These trees are visible from the freeway and I wanted people to feel they were being invited graphically and not making to much a point of when it was. It does have a date but I wanted people to really take away that we meant business and that this was a 1 night only show. So you couldn't come any other night.
